The Children’s Learning Garden at the Good Shepherd Center is getting a refresh! We will be expanding garden beds for more growing space, installing border stones, and rejuvenating the Children’s Garden for everyone to enjoy!
This is a family-friendly garden build for ages 6 and older. Some tasks will be geared to adults and older youth, such as lifting, transporting in wheelbarrows, laying and leveling border stones. We’ll also dig border outlines in firm soil. We will also have garden tasks and activities geared to children ages 6 and above.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. We have gloves and tools for all ages. The garden build will take place rain or shine. We can’t wait to grow the Children’s Garden with you! Thanks to Seattle Garden Club for their generous funding to support this work.
Prior to signing up to volunteer, please complete the Volunteer Registration. Youth under 18 must also complete the Youth Volunteer Agreement. Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by their adult. Sign up at the website below.
