ParentEd Talks - Built to Last: The Surprising Secrets of Long-Lasting Love

Calendar/Event Details

How do couples zest up their relationship in a modern egalitarian partnership?

In her 2014 book about the surprising secrets of happy couples, Pepper Schwartz, Ph.D., found that 80 percent of the happiest couples said “I love you” daily, and 90 percent of men told their partner “I love you” at least once a week, compared to 58 percent of women.

Join this free ParentEd talk on Feb. 7 with Schwartz to learn how couples can maintain love and passion in what she has termed a “peer marriage.” Drawing on more than 40 years of research in the fields of intimacy and sexuality, she will share what makes a happy couple, and depict the profound intimacy, mutual respect and deep friendship that can be achieved in a relationship between equals.
