Thrift stores won't take 'em - so what do you do with old car seats and boosters? Don't toss 'em in a landfill! Here's a great event that allows you to recycle and help the needy at the same time: "Safe, Sound and Green."
Wednesday, Sept. 24, 9am-1pm at IKEA, 601 SW 41st in Renton.
Certified safety technicians will inspect your old seats; those that are reusable will prepared for redistribution to families in need. Unusable seats will be sent to a facility where more than 95% of the materials will be recycled. You can also have the seats you're using inspected to make sure you're using them correctly. Very cool!
