Nothing says spring like snuggling with a bunch of sweet animals and having farm-time fun. So, round up the kids and visit one of our favorite farms and petting zoos. There’s no fun quite like free fun, so start planning your upcoming month with our list of completely free things to do. And, as always, head to our new favorite playground of the week

10 things to do this weekend in Seattle and beyond:

  1. “Once upon a time there were four little rabbits, and their names were Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail and Peter.” Splurge a little and enjoy a modern twist on this classic Beatrix Potter tale at Seattle Children’s Theatre (Friday–Sunday).
  2. Engage with art in an inspiring and intentional way at the free Procession of the Species (Friday–Saturday).
  3. The new Link 2 Line is finally here! Hop on and celebrate with the community at the inauguration party with food, music and dance (Saturday).
  4. The circus is coming to town! Back again for its 57th year, eat, play and dance at the Mercer Island Preschool Association’s Circus (Saturday).
  5. Head to the Frye Art Museum for a free guided tour and a hands-on artmaking activity (Saturday).
  6. Invite your tots into the wonderful world of the arts with a low-cost interactive story time with Seattle Opera (Saturday).
  7. Bouncy house, swim times, DJ music and more! Find it all at a local community center’s annual Spring Fling (Saturday).
  8. Tiptoe through the tulips and pet some baby animals at this year’s Baby Animals and Bloom Days (Saturday–Sunday).
  9. Stretch those legs and see what plants and animals you can find at this guided walk at Lewis Creek Park (Sunday).
  10. Rent a boat for free and sail around Lake Union and enjoy other free goodies (Sunday).
