After the sudden loss of his mother, a bashful boy is overwhelmed by his mourning and the relentless bullies at school. Upon discovering the book, The Neverending Story, he is drawn into the fantastic tale of Atreyu, a young and courageous warrior. In a faraway and magical land, Atreyu storms through swamps, battles heinous villains, and soars through the skies with his loyal dragon on a quest to reach the Childlike Empress before the Nothing destroys their world. In the end, it is Bastian himself who must rise beyond the pages of the book and find his voice to be the hero who saves the day. Based on the book by Michael Ende, adapted by David S. Craig, directed by Amanda Lee Williams.
