Renowned Seattleites celebrate their love of reading and celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday with a First Book – Seattle story time.
Prominent local figures will read their favorite childhood books in an all-ages story time celebrating the power of a child’s first book. The fundraiser is part of First book-Seattle’s mission to end illiteracy by providing new books to children living below the poverty line in King County.
The event is hosted by the charismatic Ride The Duck captain Bjorn Toorun. Readers include Seattle sports stars, Miss Washington, Kailee Dunn, Nancy Stewart, Children's singer/songwriter, Lisa and Linda of Tiny Tots Seattle Symphony, authors Linda Morgan and Jennifer Hotes, 'Thrift shop' singer: Brooklyn.
Each ticket buys a child in need a starter library of four books.
