Chop Shop: Bodies of Work Dance Festival offers a unique and rare opportunity to participate in master classes offered by the Artistic Directors of the participating Festival dance companies. Classes are open to students ages 12+ to adult with a minimum of three years of dance training (Classes are taught at an Intermediate/ Advanced level.) All participants must sign a release form prior to attending classes and students under the age of 18 must have an adult sign for them. Class fees are due on or before the day of the workshops. Cash only, please. Spaces are limited! Reservations must be made for all participants. To reserve your place, please call 206.799.6004. (Drop-ins may attend on the day, but will not be guaranteed a spot.)

All classes are held ON STAGE at The Theatre at Meydenbauer in Bellevue.

1:00 - 2:00 “Reading Dance” Hosted by Eva Stone

**“Reading Dance” is an engaging lecture/demonstration format hosted by Artistic Director Eva Stone and participating artists in the Festival. This lecture demystifies and reveals the creative process of how contemporary dance is made. Audience members will discover the type of movement language contemporary dance uses, learn how a dance piece is formed, and be able to ask questions of the choreographers and dancers about artistic process. Open to all ages! Presented in partnership with The City of Bellevue.
