View and discuss traditional aboriginal artwork, and complete a hands-on project using dot painting. Dot painting uses various paint colors like yellow (the sun), brown (the soil), red (desert sand) and white (the clouds and the sky). Each student will use assorted round plastic lids to trace a pattern, and use Q-tips, straws, dowels and pencil erasers to experiment with this technique.
