Green Thumb Explorers: Raindancer Wild Bird Rescue

Calendar/Event Details

Learn about the feathered creatures inhabiting our neighborhoods and forest, and the good work by Raindancer, a non-profit organization in Olympia. We will also be planning and selecting seeds for the Children’s Garden.

Green Thumb Explorers is a program designed to engage and inspire children, offering a variety of topics relevant to today’s world. From seeds, soil and harvest to garden wildlife, from preservation and protection of the environment to a deeper understanding of nature, each Saturday workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, explore Lakewold, and work in the Children’s Garden.
The program is designed for children ages 7-12. Our Saturday workshops are free and run from 10am-12:30pm. Please contact Youth Program’s Director Pam Felts at pfelts@lakewoldgardens.org or 253-584-4106 ext 105 for more information or to register. The complete series can be found at http://www.lakewoldgardens.org/statement.html.
