BAZZOOKAFEST is a physical and virtual space where BIPOC artists, creators, entrepreneurs, and business owners can connect, celebrate strength in solidarity, and begin to heal after a year of struggling in place. The first-ever all-day festival will employ musicians of color to perform live, filmmakers of color to have their work screened, and Black-owned businesses to platform and sell their work on their terms.
BAZZOOKAFEST grew out of filmmaker and musician Danny Denial’s webseries, BAZZOOKA, which was filmed during the pandemic, which generated work, income, and opportunity for underserved, underrepresented artists. BAZZOOKAFEST will move that inclusive structure from the virtual screen into Seattle Parks, for an all-ages, all-day extravaganza at the height of summer.
