Back-to-School Cool: Mom-Approved Style Trends for Tween Girls

Published on: August 20, 2012

Style Points
Tweens are by definition in a transitional age group, and that is extremely evident in their choice of style. When shopping for your tween girl, remember this important rule of thumb: Think more toward teenager than child when it comes to selecting their clothes. Colors and prints are huge this year, especially as bottoms. Try neon pants, bright belts and fun prints. Don’t forget to pepper some sophistication in, as well. Look for a grown-up coat, like a pretty cape, and a great leather messenger bag for everyday wear to complete her wardrobe.
