Warm Beach, The Lights of Christmas

The Lights of Christmas
Yep, you can see more than a million lights spread over 15 acres, and cozy up to talking Christmas tree Bruce the Spruce, ride a train and listen to lots of music. Dec. 2–5, 9–12, 16–22, 26–28; 5–10 p.m. Warm Beach Camp, 20800 Marine Drive, Stanwood. $8–$14, ages 3 and younger free.

Young local performers give it all they’ve got at Global Dance Party, a mashup of high-energy dance and music from around the world. Don’t miss it! It’s part of STG’s popular Dance This program. Dec. 3, 7:30 p.m. The Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., Seattle. $10 advance, $12 day of show.

Santa at Redmond Lights

Redmond Lights
Hunt for candy canes and decorate cookies, enjoy entertainment (don’t miss Bollywood Christmas!) and watch the tree light up at Redmond’s annual winter festival. Stick around for a bonfire and luminaria walk along the Sammamish River. Dec. 4, 4 p.m. Redmond City Hall and Redmond Town Center. FREE.

Gingerbread Jamboree at the Children's Museum of Tacoma

Gingerbread Jamboree
Pick out decorations from the candy buffet and get busy with frosting at the annual gingerbread house workshop, hosted by the Children’s Museum Tacoma at Hotel Murano. Reservations are a must — this event fills up. Dec. 5, 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. and 1:30–4 p.m. Call 253-627-6031 or visit to register. $36 per gingerbread house (members $33).

Kaleidoscope Dance Company's annual holiday show

The Gift of Dance
Students ages 6–17 perform their own choreography in Kaleidoscope Dance Company’s annual holiday show. Bring your dancing shoes; during intermission, you can dance onstage with the company and artistic director. Dec. 12, 3 p.m. Shorewood High School Theater, 17300 Fremont Ave. N., Shoreline.
