Marvel at the icebergs of Jökulsárlón

Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland at the edge of Vatnajökull National Park. Join tours run by Reykjavík Excursions or Iceland Excursions to experience this icy wonderland that is best seen in summer. These tours always include a bus ride from Reykjavík with possible stops at Skaftafell National Park, Seljalandsfoss waterfall and/or Skógafoss waterfall. Boat tours are available that will bring you close to floating icebergs or, even better, just sit on the shore and watch the blue-and-white icebergs drifting around the lake, creating an otherworldly landscape you won’t see many other places on Earth.

Best time to enjoy: April through October
