This summer, Capitol Hill is turning up the fun for families! While the neighborhood may be known for its nightlife, a new initiative is putting the spotlight on local kid-friendly businesses and activities. Introducing: the Capitol Hill for Kids Bingo — a community-wide, family-focused bingo card scavenger hunt happening throughout July.
The goal? Celebrate the playful, creative, and family-welcoming side of Capitol Hill.
Families can pick up a bingo card at Bootyland Kids and Thistle & Poppy, then explore the neighborhood to mark off businesses, complete bonus activities, and rack up entries for a prize raffle. The more you play, the more chances to win!
How It Works:
Get Bingo:
Visit participating businesses to fill in your card. Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line to earn a raffle entry.
Do Bonus Activities:
Each business offers a fun photo or interactive challenge — from snapping a selfie with giant mice at Bootyland Kids to shouting your favorite Salt & Straw flavor. Complete bonus activities for extra raffle entries!
No Limit on Entries:
Submit as many completed cards as you want! Each new bingo line means more chances to win.
Submit Your Card:
Drop it off at Bootyland Kids (1429 12th Ave) or Thistle & Poppy (428 15th Ave E), or fill out the online form. All entries must be in by 5 PM on Sunday, August 3rd.
