The adolescent years are notorious for mood swings, shifting attitudes and a desire for space — all part of the normal path to adulthood. But what if it’s more than “just a phase”? It can be difficult to distinguish typical tween or teen behavior from early signs of anxiety, depression or body image struggles. And getting your kid to open up can feel even more challenging.
That’s where pediatric psychologist and “Love the Teen You Have” author Dr. Ann-Louise Lockhart comes in. Join ParentMap on Oct. 23 for an essential ParentEd Talk that will help you recognize mental health red flags, understand what’s driving your teen’s behavior, and respond with strategies that build trust and connection — because while the teen years can be tough, they can also be magical.
What parents and caregivers will gain:
- Spot warning signs: Recognize anxiety, depression and body image challenges that often go unnoticed or are misunderstood.
- See real-world examples: Hear common scenarios reflecting what today’s tweens and teens are navigating.
- Use conversation tools: Learn practical scripts and strategies to start supportive discussions and reduce defensiveness.
- Build emotional safety: Discover ways to create a home environment that fosters trust, connection and emotional well-being.
Secure your spot for the live Zoom webinar for just $10. By signing up, you’ll also receive on-demand access to the replay to watch anytime, anywhere.
