Back-to-School Cool: Mom-Approved Style Trends for Pre/K Boys

Published on:

Style Points
One thing’s for sure: Don’t dress preschool or kindergarten boys in anything they’ll be likely to ruin. They want to run and have fun, not be hindered by their clothes. As boys get into sports and become more active on the playground, loose-cut jeans are necessary for fall and winter. Try layering, too: long sleeves are great under heavy, zip sweatshirts that can substitute for a coat well into fall. Plus, they’ll be easier for him to move in than a bulky jacket. Backpacks and lunchboxes with sports themes are great, and an overall athletic vibe will suit him well. Pack his closet with rugby shirts, track jackets and tennis shoes for a look he’ll love. (If, that is, he even notices what he’s wearing.)
