On the one hand, there are the "just a minute, honey" texting sessions that have become so ubiquitous in the parenting landscape.

On the other hand, this here laptop is the very reason I will be at my kids' school promptly at 3 p.m. today to squire them to their various Important After-school Obligations. At my house, more technology equals more face-time with mom. And yes, we observe a strict "no devices at the dinner table" policy.

Still, some experts worry that all this plugged-in parenting will result in slower language acquisition among very young kids. Read the story here.
