September

  • National Coffee Day. Parenting and coffee go together like peanut butter and jelly, which means that this made-up holiday is perfect for moms and dads with a caffeine habit.
  • Washington State Fair. Bring on the deep-fried Snickers! Doing the Puyallup in September is an annual rite of passage for many families, with carnival rides, visiting the animals and the rodeo, monster truck jams and free entertainment for kids.
  • Bremerton Blackberry Festival. With Bumbershoot's current pricing out of reach for many families, this Labor Day fest at up-and-coming Bremerton is a great alternative, with blackberry treats, fun runs, fly-ins and more family fun on the Bremerton boardwalk.
