Parent Education at Roo’s World of Discovery: A workshop for parents of toddlers and preschoolers. Get the facts about sexual abuse, how it happens, and how to keep your children safe. Learn how to talk to your child in simple, age-appropriate, non-threatening ways about safe and unsafe kisses and touches, personal boundaries, and body safety. Presenter: Kathryn Cerretani, M.A. has been working in the field of education for 14 years as a parent educator, prevention educator in public schools, counselor to families and students, and preschool teacher. She has facilitated hundreds of workshops to preschool through high school aged students, teachers, and parents around the topics of sexual assault prevention, bullying, and stranger abduction. She has a Masters degree in Counseling and spent the last six years running a parent education program in Colorado. She recently moved to the Kirkland area with her husband and three children.
