Finally, after lots of customer feedback, local boutique Village Maternity is offering a weekly question and answer event on a variety of postpartum topics every Thursday from 1-2 pm in September (with snacks and drinks!) Mommy Mocktail Hour includes different speakers each week that focus on a range of topics from swaddling to baby carrying to lactation consulting and much more! Village Maternity will have specialists in the baby industry to give tips, advice, and answer any questions for moms and moms-to-be, as well as, snacks, drinks, drawings, and great giveaways!
Independently owned and operated in Seattle since 1983, Village Maternity supplies moms to be with maternity wear that makes moms feel and look good, supplies for before and after pregnancy, and special clothes and gifts for baby. Village Maternity sincerely cares about the products they carry and does extensive research to ensure all product is safe for mom and baby.

Sarah Tyack, a registered nurse, and lactation consultant of 25 years will be discussing the right time to see a lactation consultant, introductions to pumps and what type of things to expect and not to expect when pumping. pumping.
September 22nd : How to Swaddle featuring Lynette from Swaddle Designs
Lynette from Seattle based company, Swaddle Designs will be discussing the how to's and how not to's of swaddling. She will answer questions, provide insight, and present easy, practical ways to swaddle.
September 29: Carriers in a nutshell featuring Kirsten Sullivan & Angie Norman from Baby Wearing International
Join Kirsten and Angie, a volunteer babywearing educator with Babywearing International of Seattle, as she demonstrates how to babywear safely and effectively. Types of carriers will include wraps, ring slings, and soft-structured carriers like Lillebaby and Ergo.
