Each year, thousands of salmon return to our local watershed to produce the next generation of fish. As fall approaches, salmon that were born in the Cedar River are on the final leg of their epic journey home!
Every weekend in October, our trained naturalists will be stationed along the Cedar River to help you spot salmon, learn about the challenges they face and how you can help these special creatures thrive. This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in program with no registration necessary. Mark your calendars and plan your visit—salmon season will be over before you know it!
Seattle Aquarium naturalists will be stationed at five locations along the Cedar River in Renton and Maple Valley every weekend in October from 10am to 2pm. Please note: Schedule subject to change.
