Join in community to celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day on Bainbridge Island with learning, conversation, and friendship!
Community Gathering and Welcoming Song
All are welcome at this Community Gathering at BARN from 5-7pm. Fry bread and fry bread tacos will be available for purchase, with free lemonade and cookies available to all. Several vendors will be offering items for sale such as T-shirts, books, and ribbon skirts.
At 6:45pm we'll have a welcome song and drumming lead by Chief Dale Harry. Those who wish may learn the song in a practice with Chief Dale from 5:45-6:45pm.
The community gathering & welcome song will be followed by a screening of 'Honor Thy Mother: The Untold Story of Aboriginal Women and their Indipino Children' and panel discussion. The screening and panel discussion are free but seating is limited, so please register here.
