After more than two decades of visionary planning, community collaboration and bold imagination, Waterfront Park is ready to welcome you.
Join Friends of Waterfront Park and the City of Seattle on Sept. 6 for the Grand Opening Celebration of Waterfront Park, a vibrant celebration featuring live entertainment, art installations, local food vendors and over 100 communities as we come together to explore all that the new Waterfront Park has to offer.
Date & Time: September 6, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
Where: Across the full 20 acres of Waterfront Park
Celebration activities include:
-Ribbon cutting
-Live music all day at Pier 62, Pier 58 and along the Park Promenade
-Two community parades between Pier 62 and Railroad Way South
-Family-friendly fun, including hands-on activities and games
-Immersive art and storytelling
-Youth dance showcases and workshops
-Pop-up street performances
-Accessibility Welcome Tour highlighting the accessible features, routes and amenities of Waterfront Park
-Tasty bites and sips, featuring two beer and beverage gardens (21 and older)
