An informal concert offering specially created for children ages 2-8 and their grown ups. Three programs for smaller ensembles begin the series — providing for an interactive, close encounter with the musicians (Jan. 12, Feb. 9, March 8). Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, with the full orchestra, is the culminating concert for the series (April 19). With curriculum prepared by Early Childhood Learning experts, the 45 minute informances feature elements to get the children engaged both physically and mentally.
Today's program includes Copland’s Hoedown, Rossini’s William Tell Overture (the Lone Ranger theme), Home on the Range, and much more. Feel free to come dressed in your best western gear!
