The first ever Seattle Children's Book Festival is open to the public and will feature 49 award-winning children’s book authors and illustrators, including: Tracey West (DragonMasters), Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire), Dana Simpson (Phoebe and her Unicorn), LeUyen Pham (The Princess in Black), Leslie Patricelli (Baby Board Books), Corinna Luyken (The Book of Mistakes), Kazu Kibuishi (Amulet), Varian Johnson (The Parker Inheritance), Dan Gemeinhart (The Honest Truth), Troy Cummings (Notebook of Doom), Ben Clanton (Narwhal and Jelly), Kobi Yamada (What Do You Do With an Idea?), Jonathan Stutzman (Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug), Lisa Mantchev (Strictly No Elephants).
Meet your favorite authors and illustrators, purchase signed copies of their books, donate books to low-income Seattle Schools, participate in hands-on literacy crafts and hear several of the authors and illustrators present throughout the day.
Note: this event will be held both outdoors and indoors and is a rain or shine event!
