What was your childhood passion? Jump roping? Star Wars® collectibles? Baking in an Easy Bake Oven? Whatever your favorite toy was, then and now, you’re sure to find it in the ‘TOYTOPIA’ exhibition at the Washington State History Museum. ‘TOYTOPIA’ will rekindle the wonder and delight of your favorite childhood moments through an interactive journey through the history of toys!

‘TOYTOPIA’ is one of the premier exhibits created by Stage 9 Exhibits. Since 2005, over two million guests have seen their exhibitions worldwide. Their exhibitions focus on creating memorable educational experiences through popular culture.

With a footprint of over 6,000 square feet, ‘TOYTOPIA’ will showcase interactive displays from cherished toymakers, including Hasbro®, Duncan Yo-Yo®, Schleich®, Breyer®, Crayola®, KNEX® and many more. ‘TOYTOPIA’ highlights include:

  • The world’s largest Etch A Sketch
  • A retro '80s arcade with full-size cabinet video games
  • A life-size doll house, with engaging play areas
  • Life-size Monopoly Car and game board. Visitors can sit inside for a unique photo opportunity.
  • Lego play area/Lego wall
  • Giant road play surface, a fanciful activity for all ages. Guests can create their own bustling city with railroad tracks, trains, cards and more!
  • Our signature ‘Kinetic Toys’ explores the science of toys, from Furby® to radiometers, plus magnetic interactive play walls.
  • Schylling Tin Toys — See how tin toys are created out of simple sheets of tin.
  • Keva Planks, Lincoln Logs and Brain Teasers play areas
  • Large-scale versions of vintage games such as Battleship and Connect 4
  • Music in video games
  • Huge electronic floor piano
