Grab your rainbows and join us for We’re Coming Out: Fremont Queer Nature Walk
We’re bringing together LGBTQIA2S+ community members and organizations who care about environmental justice and crave a space to connect with nature. This year’s We’re Coming Out event will include a birding and nature outing along the Burke-Gilman Trail, a queer nature conversation, then culminating at Charlie’s Queer Books for their Drag Storytime and Queer Book Fair. This is a family friendly event, and all ages are welcome.
Optional: bring your favorite fun fact, story, book, experience about queerness in nature for sharing and discussion.
This collaboration is hosted by Birds Connect Seattle, Washington Conservation Action and Patagonia Seattle, in partnership with Charlie’s Queer Books. We will learn about the wildlife in the area and conservation efforts you can take to protect them.
Accessibility: Burke-Gilman trail is paved and Fremont Canal Park includes an ADA accessible viewing platform.
Kid and family friendly.
Dogs are welcome and must remain on leash.
