Pitch-Perfect Music Camp or Class

Winner: Sunshine Music Together

Voters sent in a mountain of accolades to make Sunshine Music Together a winner yet again in this category. Its mixed-age parent-and-child classes develop music appreciation in young children, and the catchy, fun songs appeal to kids and grown-ups alike. You also appreciate the engaged, dedicated instructors. This research-based, internationally recognized program has classes for children from newborn to age 5 together with their parents and caregivers.

Finalists

Voters agree that making music at Joyous Noise Studio is a powerful way to foster all aspects of a young child’s development. Classes for the youngest learners are taken with caregivers, and there’s a range of class types for children from newborn to age 5 in locations throughout the Greater Seattle area.

Parents love that nurturing feels natural during Music Together at Music Center of the Northwest in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood, with offerings for newborns through age 8. One parent shares their thoughts on the website, saying, “I have been attending Music Together classes … for 7.5 years and have loved it every single semester.”

Girls ages 6–18 learn teamwork, discipline and confidence while making music as members of the Seattle Girls Choir on Capitol Hill. Choristers also collaborate with other Seattle-area arts organizations and perform at some of the most prestigious national and international choral festivals and competitions.

At Summer Fun, a performing and visual arts day camp for kids ages 7–12, artist teachers strive to impart foundational skills while putting the fun into each day’s unique activities.
