Things We Love: Yak Pak 'Cityscape' Mini Pack (And Giveaway)

Published on: December 30, 2013

yak_pak_cityscapeI'll admit my bias up front: I like backpacks. I like them for festivals, walking around the city, taking the bus, skiing -- backpacks allow me to carry my water, blanket, food, book and camera without feeling like I'm dragging a load of stuff around (purses, I'm looking at you).

My problem is that I'm not a tall woman, so regular-sized backpacks feel waaaay too big. My other problem is that many standard-issue backpacks have a college vibe that doesn't suit me so much anymore.

I've also searched for backpacks for small kids who are overwhelmed by standard-size backpacks and have come up (wait for it) short.

So when a Mini Pak from Yak Pak showed up at my door, I was smitten --  at just 10" high, it's the perfect size for small kids going to school or camp, or short women walking around town. The packs are roomy inside and sturdily constructed, with tough water- (and stain-, I found) resistant fabric  and two zip-up compartments in the front. And they come in 46 designs, from the stylized black-and-white "Cityscape" to bright checks for kids.

We're giving one away! You can win a Yak Pak backpack in the 'Cityscape' design pictured in a stylish white-notes-on-black-background '8 Notes' design -- just comment here by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 27, when we'll choose a winner at random. Like or Tweet this (and leave a comment for each action) for two extra chances to win.

UPDATE: Katie, congratulations you have won! You will be contacted via the email given on  your post. Thanks for commenting and to everyone else who participated!
