Ballard SeafoodFest began in 1974 as a community celebration of Ballard’s historic connection to the fishing industry and the neighborhood’s Nordic roots. Today, this free three-day festival attracts over 75,000 people who come to enjoy the traditional salmon barbecue and much more: local music, arts and crafts, family entertainment, a beer garden, a skateboarding event, and yes – lots of seafood!

The Illumination Learning Studio Kids Deck at Ballard SeafoodFest is the ultimate destination for your little ones to have a blast! The area is designed to keep your young ones entertained and engaged at the festival. From the infamous purple slide and face painting to crafts and storytelling, there's something for every child to enjoy. So bring your whole family down to Ballard SeafoodFest and let the little skippers loose at the Kids Deck. We can't wait to help your family create fun memories this summer!
