Clave Gringa Quartet - Cuban Jazz
Join Clave Gringa for a lovely Cuban experience. The original compositions of bandleader Ann-ita Reynolds combine authentic, traditional Cuban musical styles with her jazz background. Robin Lloyd of KNKX says Ann’s compositions “achieve that rare balance of musical ideas arranged to engage the brain and authentic danceable rhythms to engage the body”.Joining Ann will be Willie Garza on percussion, Daniel Barry on trumpet, Andy Zadrozny on bass. Their infectious repertoire and masterful playing covers styles from the European sounding danzon and cha-cha-cha to Afro-Cuban folkloric sounds.
