Winner: Roo’s World of Discovery

Finalists

This nanny placement service earns a spot as a special needs resource/service for its commitment to children of all abilities. Starling Agency offers a number of different placements, from full-time nannies to a nanny needed for an upcoming vacation or business trip.

MOSAIC Children’s Therapy offers a wide range of therapy for children from birth through young adulthood. Options include therapy to treat the effects of congenital disability, trauma, surgery and more. “The fact that MOSAIC offers a variety of services all under one roof is a huge advantage,” writes one doctor. “Even more important, the quality of services has always been stellar.”

With the goal of embracing children of diverse abilities and their families, Kindering provides services ranging from evaluations for early intervention to private therapy, including Sibshops (workshops geared toward the siblings of kids with special needs).

Started by two pediatric therapists in 2009, Seattle Therapy Network has grown to nine therapists (plus a therapy dog!) in a 4,000-square-foot clinic in Seattle. Look for options for both kids and teens, including occupational, physical and speech therapies.
