Dr. Lisa Winer is a veteran mathematics teacher at Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida. As a TED-Ed Innovative Educator, she spearheaded the Students Teaching Students initiative, encouraging students to create engaging and imaginative math videos to support peer learning. Dr. Winer believes that everyone can excel in mathematics with grit, peer-to-peer problem-solving, and spaced practice. She is dedicated to empowering parents to actively support their children's mathematical growth.
Dr. Winer earned her EdD in Learning and Teaching from the University of Miami. Her capstone project, Examining the Impact of Flipped Learning Infused with Educational Technology on High School Students’ Math Learning, reflects her commitment to leveraging innovative approaches to enhance student understanding and engagement in math.
