Lisa Franz is an educator and executive function coach with over two decades of experience helping parents navigate their children’s educational journeys. Drawing on her background in teaching, coaching and neurobiological research, she partners with parents and students worldwide to create personalized strategies for learning and personal growth. Lisa’s passion for fostering curiosity and agency in students stems from her own educational journey, which shifted from a joy-filled, inquiry-based environment to a high-pressure system. This contrast inspired her to dedicate her career to helping students overcome the cognitive and emotional challenges that often hinder their holistic success. Through her coaching practice and School Interrupted Substack, Lisa empowers families to cultivate essential executive function skills, guiding teens toward self-awareness, resilience and long-term success. She is also currently working on her book, “From Worry to Wisdom: Helping Your Teen Thrive in School and Beyond,” which reflects her approach to supporting teens and families in today’s educational landscape.
