Seattle Arab Festival will take place on August 12-13, 2023 at the Armory Food & Event Hall and Mural Amphitheatre. The festival is part of the Seattle Center Festál series.
This year's festival will focus on inspiring Arabs who recently moved to the Pacific Northwest and have fears of being outside their homes. Programming will include, the Steamtac Academy, who will introduce attendees to their STEM education program, children’s activities, face painting and henna, and cultural booths from local vendors.
Seattle Center Festál presents Seattle Arab Festival in partnership with Seattle Arab Festival (SAF). The festival features traditional Arab foods, drinks, and desserts inside along with a wide array of local and national vendors with fabulous products from or about the Arab world. Visitors will also be delighted by Arabic music, singing, dancing and other stage performances.
Featured activities include:
- Music by Cairo Crowd, House of Tarab, and Damascus Papers
- Dabkeh dancers Shamiat Dabkeh and Seattle Kids Dabkeh
- Kids’ activities
- Face painting and henna
- Stemtac Academy, presenting their STEM education activities and projects
- Cultural booths from different Arab nations
- A marketplace with goods from local vendors
- Arabic cuisine, including Lebanese food and desserts, and Egyptian food, baklava, and herbal iced beverages
