What is the FARE Walk?
The FARE Walk program is our flagship, grassroots fundraising program. In 2015 FARE drew more than 25,000 participants to 55+ walks across the country. We expect attendance to continue to grow in 2016. The family-focused walks offer a fun, allergy-friendly activity for the food allergy community. The expo at each event is a favorite feature for attendees and provides corporate partners a great opportunity to engage with walkers.
Why We Walk?
We walk so we can say FAREwell to Food Allergies! Through the efforts of supporters like you, the FARE Walk for Food Allergy raises critical funds and awareness each year to create a safer, more inclusive world for the 15 million Americans with food allergies. Our dedicated FARE Walk participants are committed to raising money in this inspirational event to fund FARE’s research, advocacy and education initiatives, and to show support to those with food allergies who walk among us in our lives and at the event.
Once you register by clicking the red register button at the top of the website, you will be given your very own web page and will have access to lots useful tools to help you fundraise. You’ll be able to personalize your web page to share your reason for walking, send emails to ask others to join you or donate, and even link to Facebook. And of course, your FARE Walk Staff will be here to help all along the way!
