Drop-In Open Play at Rock Solid Science

Open Play at the Learning Lab is a time for kids (and their grown-ups!) to explore freely. From gem mining at the sluice to digging in our animated sandbox, and rock collections, the lab is full of hands-on stations that spark curiosity. Kids move at their own pace, choosing activities that excite them most, while adults can join in the fun or relax nearby.

Your admission includes gems and one bag of paydirt to sift through at the sluice — everything you find is yours to keep! Other rocks and minerals, treasures and old-school rock candy are available for purchase on-site.

One adult free for each paid kid — extra adult(s) in your group fee $12.50 each.
