About the speakers
Sam Goldstein, Ph.D., is a clinical professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Goldstein has authored dozens of books, chapters and peer-reviewed research articles. Goldstein is former editor-in-chief of the Journal of Attention Disorders and co-editor-in-chief of Encyclopedia of Child Development. Goldstein and Brooks have co-authored many books including “Tenacity in Children,” “The Power of Resilience” and “Raising Resilient Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.”
Robert B. Brooks, Ph.D., is a psychologist on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and former director of the Department of Psychology at McLean Hospital, a private psychiatric hospital in the Boston area. Brooks has presented nationally and internationally to thousands of parents, educators, mental health professionals and business people about such themes as resilience across the lifespan, motivation, school climate, a positive work environment, parenting and family relationships. He has also written extensively about these topics.
