Both books are excellent tools for cultivating creativity and creating art, in a beautifully designed format: Each book contains 70 ideas, with one clearly explained idea per page spread, including photos that show the various stages of a project.
Almost all of the projects in the The Paint Book are appropriate for young kids, even toddlers. The projects range from wondeful classics such as coffee-filter butterflies, painting with your hands and feet and painting with marbles to making nightlights and aging paper with teabags (ahoy, treasure maps ahead!).
