The Independent School Fair for People of Color was conceived in 2006 by four directors of admission from a broad spectrum of Seattle area independent schools. They saw a need to expose, enlighten and engage families of color in a discussion about the unique offerings of independent schools. What resulted was the creation of a fair that would help families of color navigate the options, opportunities and resources of independent schools for a great academic experience. While specifically designed for families of color, all families are welcome to attend the fair to meet representatives from over 30 independent schools serving students from preschool through grade 12.
