Art of the Game is a glass-art scavenger hunt celebrating the creativity, craftsmanship, and spirit of Tacoma and Pierce County during the summer soccer action in Seattle. Inspired by Tacoma’s world-renowned glass art tradition, we're inviting visitors to explore events and scenic spaces across the county as you hunt for hand-crafted glass pieces hidden in public places.
The hunt runs for a limited time. New locations and surprises will be revealed throughout the campaign.
How It Works
Follow
Follow Visit Tacoma-Pierce County on Instagram and Facebook, and the #ArtOfTheGame hashtag. We'll be dropping big location video clues weekly throughout the hunt, and more specific videos as we hide them in real time.
Find
Glass art pieces are hidden in public places, events, festivals, and approved partner locations throughout Pierce County and the Mount Rainier area. So get out and explore the local communities, scenic areas, and cultural spots. Keep checking on Facebook and Instagram for clues.
If you’re lucky enough to spot a hand-crafted glass medallion or glass float, it’s yours to keep. Each piece is part of Art of the Game and will be clearly marked so you know it’s an official find.
Note: You will not need to climb, smash, detach, cut, break, damage, modify, or otherwise mess with anything in the public places in which the pieces are hidden. Please be cool, and refer to the pictures below to make sure what you're grabbing is a true Art of the Game piece.
Fan Zone
If you found a glass medallion (looks like a big glass coaster), that's your prize! You're done! You're a winner!
But if you find an individually numbered glass float (looks like a ball with a medallion on it), you're a big winner!
You keep the float, but if you bring it to the Puyallup Tribe Fan Zone in Tacoma (at the Tribal Administration Campus), and show it to someone at the Visit Tacoma-Pierce County booth during one of the activations, you'll receive an additional prize!
