Hands On Skills Fair - DIY Fest

Calendar/Event Details

A new wave is sweeping the country. People are recognizing the joy, satisfaction and security of being able to provide for their own needs, shifting from dependence on giant corporations to a healthy interdependence with our local community. Let’s relearn the skills our grandparents knew! In the past folks from our neighborhood have stepped up to share skills such as food preservation and preparation, seed saving, soap making, basic plumbing and electrical, tool repair, carpentry, pruning, gardening, simple bike maintenance, and making lotions, just to name a few. What can you teach?

Need an idea for what kind of skills might be viable for this event?
