North Coast Credit Union is thrilled to sponsor the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Photo Contest. The Annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is the largest of its kind in North America and takes place each April. Unfortunately, this year due to COVID-19 our Tulip Fields and Gardens are not currently open, instead we are offering a virtual 2020 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. This year the North Coast Credit Union Photo Contest will allow photography enthusiasts to capture the beauty of Tulips and spring flowers in your backyards, gardens and neighborhoods. We hope you have a great time capturing your wonderful photos while practicing social distancing.
Please follow the Official Tulip Festival Photo Contest Rules to be eligible for the contest.
1. Photos can be submitted April 1st through April 30th and be submitted under one of the following categories each related to Tulips.
Beauty of the Tulips - A Close-Up Picture
Tulips in Landscapes
Tulips and Pets
Celebrating the Tulip Bloom while practicing social distancing
2. Photos must be sent to svtfphotos@gmail.com and include the photographer’s name, mailing and email address, telephone number and date of photo. Contestants are free to include additional information if they wish. By entering the contest, you release all rights to the photo and give us permission to use the photo for promotional purposes.
3. One entry per person per period of: April 1 – 5; April 6 – 12; April 13 – 19; April 20 – 26; and April 27 – April 30. Multiple submissions will result in deletion of all photos from that person for that period.
4. For each period, a panel of judges will elect semi-finalists to be posted on the Gallery pages at www.tulipfestival.org as well as on the Festival’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SkagitValleyTulipFestival )
5. In early May, three finalists in each category will be announced on our Facebook page and by May 15th the winning photos will be posted on both the Facebook and Tulip Festival home pages. Winning photos may be printed in the 2021 Festival Brochure and all category finalists will receive a signed 2020 Festival Poster. Judges reserve the right to add an “Honorable Mention” designation.
