What do you see during the longest night of the year?
Star Guide Kyle Doane introduces the night sky that can be seen on the very night of Winter Solstice 2021 during a planetarium-like experience offered over Zoom. Interweaving science and imagination, he invites you to find your own pictures among the stars, then reflect on the meaning to be found in their movement throughout this special night. This interactive program is appropriate for families with children ages 10 and older.
Admission is on a sliding scale from $0 - $20, contributing-as-you-can.
Kyle Doane, AKA Cosmic Kyle has helped found planetariums in Ghana, Kenya, UK, Mexico and the U.S.
This event is produced by Gathering Ground, a collaboration of people who share and forge meaning. We are people of many beliefs – and none. We observe earth holidays, share creative practices, and form community. Do stuff, reflect, connect.
