Dune Peninsula, Tacoma

You won't find what we think of as a traditional climbing structure at epic new Dune Peninsula, but your kids won't miss it. The draw here, at least for your crew, are the Chutes-and-Ladders-style slides descending a hillside. Kids won't get tired of sliding, but they will get tired! There are also giant steps to scale and play on. Adults will want to take in the panoramic view of Commencement Bay and Puget Sound. The Frank Herbert Loop trail is fantastic for walking and for your kids' favorite wheeled transport: bikes, scooters or skates.
