An awesomely kid-focused fort forms the centerpiece of the brand-new playground at Wallingford Playfield. This neighborhood park's old play structure was popular, but insects were eating the wood. A whole new play area opened in the summer of 2019, to the delight of nearby families — and of those from more distant locales. The play structure here makes it a destination playground for sure. The fort has two stories, five slides, a firefighter's pole, a suspension bridge, plus ladders and bubble windows. Bring your crew and get climbing.
