10 Great Reasons to Take the Kids to Ireland

Giants Causeway

The Giant’s Causeway

It’s hard to believe that this wonder was created by nature. The Giant's Causeway is located in County Antrim on the coast of Northern Ireland. It's composed of hexagonal basalt columns that were formed as a result of volcanic activity on the coast almost sixty million years ago. This World Heritage site is an unmissable place for the whole family.

When you’re in the area, you might want to take a tour of some of the locations from the popular television show, "Games of Thrones." Your kids might enjoy having their photo taken at the iconic tree-lined road known as the kingsroad (photo on slide 12). If that’s not enough for you, you can always scare them witless on the magnificent Carrick-a-rede rope bridge (photo on slide 1).
