ParentMap is seeking experienced freelance writers to pitch and write articles, round-ups, reviews and profiles in one or more of the following topic areas:
- South Puget Sound area: Family-friendly activities and events in the South Puget Sound area, from Federal Way to Olympia and Gig Harbor to Enumclaw.
- The greater Eastside: Family-friendly activities and events on the Eastside, including Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Woodinville and surrounding areas.
- Food and family dining: Family-friendly restaurants, home-cooking, shopping, health and kitchen tips and all aspects of feeding families.
ParentMap's Out & About team covers activities, outings, events, indoor and outdoor play, food and dining, the arts, travel, nature exploration and all manner of family fun. We are seeking additional freelancers to write stories and content on these topics.
Writers should have significant experience with one of the topic areas listed and should have a journalism background writing for newspapers, magazines, websites or other publications. Writers should be able to emulate ParentMap's voice and style, and preferably be available for stories and reviews on a short timeline.
