Beginning June 1 with a soft opening and fully operational through July 19, the City of SeaTac will operate three community activation sites offering free programming, food, entertainment, and a welcoming gathering place for residents and visitors throughout the World Cup period. Sites are planned to operate daily.
Bullpen Site at Angle Lake
2825 S. 200th Street and International Boulevard, SeaTac
Adjacent to the Angle Lake Station, the Bullpen site — recently acquired by the City and now in transformation — will serve as a cornerstone of SeaTac’s FIFA footprint. In partnership with Métier Brewing Company and Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce, the site will feature community programming, food, and entertainment with programming on Sundays and Thursday. Capacity for about 180 people. Hours of operations are from approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Stoup SeaTac City — Old Bank Building
18400 International Boulevard, SeaTac
Located at the Old Bank Building on International Boulevard, this site will be open every day and serve as SeaTac’s Friday and Saturday hub during the World Cup period. In partnership with Stoup Brewing and Por Vida NW, the site will offer food, Stoup beers and other beverages, entertainment and community programming with a capacity of about 250 people. All of the games will be shown on the big screen. Hours of operations are approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
SeaTac Welcoming Plaza — Station Activation
2918 S. 176th Street, SeaTac
Steps from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the SeaTac/Airport Link Light Rail Station, this activation site puts SeaTac’s welcome mat at the literal front door of the region. In partnership with Growing Contigo and SeaTac BMX, the plaza will feature daily programming with emphasis days on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays, with a mini soccer pitch, BMX pump track activity, and food. Capacity is about 190 people. Hours of operations are approximately 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
