Wa Na Wari is proud to present “GuideStar” an immersive laser light installation by artists Mendi + Keith at Space Needle on March 14
Wa Na Wari is thrilled to announce the debut of “GuideStar” an exciting new art installation at the Space Needle by New York-based artists Mendi + Keith. On Friday, March 14 at 7:30PM over 30 laser beams will shine from the top of the Space Needle for an evening of cosmic exploration and wonder.
GuideStar draws inspiration from astronomical guide stars—laser systems used in observatories to create artificial stars. Mendi + Keith: GuideStar features an array of vibrant, primary-colored laser beams projected into Seattle's night sky. The beams are complemented by slow-moving, ambient music that surrounds the Space Needle, creating an immersive experience.
The installation transforms the Space Needle, Seattle's iconic landmark, and its surrounding environment into a dynamic canvas of light and sound, inviting viewers to reconnect with the night sky and each other through a shared sensory journey. This artwork is commissioned by Wa Na Wari and supported by Cornell University's Mui Ho Center for Cities.
